BIO: Amy Baskin, M.Ed. is a freelance writer, educator and professional speaker. She is co-author of the award-winning book “More Than a Mom–Living a Full and Balanced Life When Your Child Has Special Needs” (Woodbine House). A popular media guest, Amy has spoken on national tv and radio about self care for parents of children with special needs. Her articles about parenting and health appear in magazines including Reader’s Digest, Today’s Parent,Canadian Family and Best Health.

Amy is the mother of two adult daughters; her youngest has autism. In her community of Guelph, Ontario, Amy is involved in increasing opportunities for adults with ASD. She is a founding member of J.O.E. (Jobs. Opportunities. Enterprise) featuring an inclusive coffee/catering business.
